Due to rising cases in Philadelphia, the city has put up new restrictions on gyms, and we see ourselves closing our doors yet again to in-person group classes.

Although we do not see think of our studio as a gym in any sense of the word, it is the responsible thing to do to help mitigate risk as best we can to keep our coaches and all of you safe. We will be closed for all of December for our normal schedule, but we have lots of fun things in store for you while you stay safely at home.
We will still be offering private lessons and allowing our pro-members to train at limited capacity. If you are interested in booking a private lesson you can do so HERE by searching our availability calendar and submitting a request, or by emailing info@secretcirc.us if you are not sure who you want to schedule with, so we can find the best fit for your needs.
Pre-professional and Professional Members will have extended hours during this time. See our new times on our "Pro-Membership" page.
So what is in store for us this December? We have lots of virtual classes of all kinds to offer, from old favorites to new delights! We are also putting on "Sunday Secrets!" 1 hour virtual skill workshops that you can attend LIVE or watch the recording later. Study, ask questions, and learn all the secrets to your favorite skills and drills.

How to Float (in 4 parts): C-shape and Beats
with Coach Cody Hayman
Learn how to defy gravity on rope and fabric with c-shape and dynamic techniques. Roll-ups, gooey poses, floaty beats, and drops that don’t clunk but just curl back into themselves like fern fronds unfurling in reverse. Volumes I and 2 will cover the fundamentals of dynamic techniques and C-shape, respectively, while volumes 3 and 4 will offer more advanced applications of both C-shape and dynamic movement. Students are encouraged to take the whole series or only the parts most appropriate for them.

Part 1 of 4 of How to Float (in 4 parts): C-shape and Beats. Volume I covers basic beat pathways (e.g., bell beats, scissor beats, etc.). For intermediate students. Pre-reqs: Proficient in the basic wraps (e.g., hip key, catcher's, s-lock, etc.), windmill/wheel down, strength to invert repeatedly. Best for Intermediate level students but great for anyone interested in rope technique. SIGN UP HERE This class needs 4 to run!

How to Float Vol 2: Introduction to C-shape
Part 2 of 4 of How to Float (in 4 parts): C-shape and Beats. Learn how to defy gravity on vertical apparatuses.
Volume 2 covers C-Shape and its introductory applications (e.g., hip key roll-up, back balance, etc.). For intermediate students.
Pre-reqs: Proficient in the basic wraps (hip key, catcher’s, s-lock, etc.), windmill/wheel down, strength to invert repeatedly. Best for Intermediate level students but great for anyone interested in rope technique.
This class needs 4 to run!
Sunday 12/20 1-2pm:
How to Float Vol 3: More Dynamic Pathways
Part 3 of 4 of How to Float (in 4 parts): C-shape and Beats. Learn how to defy gravity on vertical apparatuses.
Volume 3 covers more dynamic pathways, including directional changes and applying beat pathways to wraps and drops. (e.g., flares, slack drags, j-flips, etc.). Pre-reqs: Proficient in the basic wraps (hip key, catcher’s, s-lock, etc.), windmill/wheel down, strength to invert repeatedly, comfortable with basic beat pathways. Best for Intermediate/Advanced students. SIGN UP HERE

Part 4 of 4 of How to Float (in 4 parts): C-shape and Beats. Learn how to defy gravity on vertical apparatuses.
Volume 4 expands on all previous lessons, applying C-shape to drops and dynamic techniques. Roll-ups everywhere. Beat from anything.
Pre-reqs: Proficient in the basic wraps (hip key, catcher’s, s-lock, etc.), windmill/wheel down, strength to invert repeatedly, comfortable with basic beat pathways, hip key roll-up and/or back balance. Best for advanced aerialists. SIGN UP HERE

Aerial Beginners
"The Fundamental Elements to Success."
with Coach/Founder Niff Nicholls

Are you a beginner aerialist or maybe an aerialist who just seems stuck and has trouble inverting, feeling strong in your body, or has plateaued? This workshop with coach Niff will help you understand proper body positions and mechanics for aerial work as well as some secret tips and tricks you may be missing to understand and accomplish your goals. So many students want to rush ahead and learn all the big tricks, and end up with shoulder injuries, or bad habits that are super hard to break! This workshop will help you better understand the body positions that can help you best utilize your muscles and their force coupling power of working together!!
Great for any level, but awesome for those new to aerial.

Sunday 12/20 2:30-3:30pm:
"Spun Magic"- Spinning technique for dance trapeze
Join coach Niff as she breaks down the magic of spinning technique on dance trapeze. Learn the fundamental tools to a great spin and how to apply them to bar heights, shapes, and movement. You will learn to float and transfer your energy to dynamic and self expressive shapes.
Best for students who can tuck under the bar cleanly, and are ready to spin!
This class needs 4 to run!
